EVENTS at PARSONS AUDIO
  • The ongoing CLEARANCE SALE. Is there anything you need that's on the list? Great deals, mostly demo items, all of them guaranteed and returnable.

  • The annual PARSONS AUDIO EXPO, each November. The most recent, in November 2007, took place on Thursday, November 8, at the Dedham (MA) Holiday Inn. For full details, click here. There were presentations by experts & exhibits by dozens of leading manufacturers. Anyone interested is welcome to attend -- and it's free. Each year, as the date approaches, everyone on the Parsons e-mail newsletter list (subscribe here) receives a detailed invitation.

  • PRO TOOLS USER GROUP (PTUG) meetings -- often the first Tuesday of the month. Schmoozing/networking at 7PM; meeting at 7:30. Each meeting includes an open forum for exchange of information by attendees: operating tips, system configuration, misc. issues, covering a broad range of Pro Tools-related subjects. Bring your questions, and your knowledge. Every meeting also features a special presentation. If you're on our e-mail newsletter list, you'll receive details.

  • COURSES at the PARSONS CENTER for AUDIO STUDIES (PCAS): continuing education for working audio professionals, taught by masters (David Moulton, Tom Bates, Alex Case, Brian Doser and David Franz, also Scott Elson). The Parsons Center for Audio Studies has a number of course offerings coming up, including the first ever Mixing Summit, the weekend of August 1-3. We keep class sizes small, and enrollment is on a first-come first-served basis, so it's wise to enroll as soon as you can. See full details at the Courses page.
    • PCAS is an official Digidesign Sponsored School. The 101, 101 Accelerated, and 110 courses are part of Digidesign's requirement for Pro Tools Operator and Pro Tools Expert certifications.
    • CUSTOMIZED COURSES, TAUGHT AT YOUR FACILITY. If you have a group of five or more people interested in courses, including courses customized to suit you , we offer them. They can take place at your facility or ours.
    • COURSES (including those listed above) that we have offered in the past, and may offer in the future:
      • Audio for Video: A/V 101 to 106

      • Signal Processing I & II
      • A Wine-tasting of Audio Gear
...and more. For course schedule and descriptions, faculty biographies, enrollment procedure, etc., contact the Parsons staff and/or click here.

DIGIDESIGN in the DEMONSTRATION ROOM

For years, Parsons Audio has been (and remains) New England's one and only full-line Digidesign dealer. Parsons sells everything from Mbox and the other LE systems to the HD systems, the AV Option, the ICON worksurfaces, and Venue. The Parsons Demonstration Room contains complete working systems, including an HD system loaded with plug-ins, the ICON D-Command, and the Venue Live Sound Environment. Come see. For info, contact us; also visit the Digidesign web site.
